I have been a Facebook fan for years and I don't know if this is Facebooks fault or not but because I had this happen to me on Facebook and it can't be found anyplace else, I came here to review one of their "free short reels" called Flick Reels. It is this that my review is about as well as Facebooks willingness to allow such stories to suck you in and by the time you are completely engrossed in the "short" it has cost more than any of the reels I've watched. The story was on my page. It just was there and I was reading it thinking it was real and suddenly way into the story I was taken to a page that, I had to buy time, which thinking it would just be the one charge, I went ahead and bought 500 chips for 4.99. that was a big mistake because every three minutes I had to pay 50 chips which sucked up my 4.99 in no time and right about the time the story got you. I ended up stupidly buying 500 for $4.99 so many times, I was furious at myself as well as Flick Reels. The worst part is I have had many friends tell me not to get sucked in to stories that seemed too good to be true on Facebook. Oh dopey me. They got me but by the time I finished the story which really was good, I might as well have bought the whole film. And yes I will shoulder some of the fault for wanting to see the rest of the story, but my ignorance is not an excuse for a company of any kind to be so underhanded and have no problem with lies. We go on to Facebook to see family and watch grandchildren who live too far away grow up. There are many good things about Facebook but I have to say shame on them for allowing this to happen. Flick Reels has no conscience. They just want to hook people who still trust that todays world is not as corrupt as it really is. I am over 75. That makes me an easy mark, so is it me I should be reviewing? I don't think so. There is still a thing called integrity. No matter what generation, it still leads me to be dumb I guess. But Flick Reels is the worst of them yet. Do beware and hold on to your wallet because they will suck you in and make you believe and that hurts. And this is my experience and no one has asked me to say any of this. It is embarrassing enough to just admit I was taken. I wouldn't put words in anyone's mouth. It belongs to me. Right is right and wrong is wrong so if you are on Facebook be careful. It is not what it used to be I guess money talks.

Facebook’s moderation feels inconsistent, and that’s a serious problem. Every day I come across posts promoting violence, criminal activity, explicit sexual content, hate, and harassment. When those posts are reported, I’m constantly told they don’t violate Facebook’s Community Standards, so they stay up. Meanwhile, as a content creator who’s genuinely trying to build a platform and provide for my family, I’ve been suspended, restricted, demonetized, and had my reach limited over content that doesn’t come close to the harmful material I see left untouched. It feels like Facebook picks and chooses who it enforces its rules against instead of applying the same standards to everyone. That’s frustrating and unfair. From my perspective, this doesn’t feel like a platform where people in my community can freely share positive messages or defend themselves against negativity without risking penalties. It often feels like the people spreading hate and harmful content have more freedom than the people trying to create meaningful conversations. If Facebook wants to be seen as a safe and trustworthy platform, its policies need to be enforced consistently. The same standards should apply to everyone—not just to the creators who are trying to grow their businesses and support their families
