Camp opens in June. Camp Oljato, operated by Pacific Skyline Council, is one of the leading Scouts BSA summer camps in California’s High Sierra. From mid-June through early August, Scouts cross Huntington Lake by barge and step straight into a summer full of adventure. Starlight on the Waters, a fitting description for a camp where most participants spend time sailing, paddleboarding, swimming, and enjoying the lake. With a wide range of programs, including merit badges, outdoor skills, climbing, and Range and Target Activities, Oljato gives Scouts the chance to build skills, face new challenges, and enjoy the beauty of the mountains.
