Went in for our annual santa visit and this location is set up way different than bass pro in Northfield. This place does have fish and lots of bug animals around but the set up is different. They have a dedicated space for santa at this location.

Went in to purchase a firearm. I asked the outfitter Garret D if I could inspect it before being locked into the serial number through the background check process. The firearm had a blemish on it. They had 3 on hand so I asked if he could grab the other one in the box or the one off the shelf which looked great. He took the firearm and box to the back and came back out 5-10 minutes later. Cut the box open again as he did with the “first” one. This “other” one was much more oily than the “previous” one. It didn’t appear to have any blemishes so I said it looked fine. Run the background check, wait the three days, and pick it up this morning. When I get it home I wipe all the excess oil off and lo and behold… it’s the one with the blemish. Then I notice the box was double taped. The guy literally took it to the back, oiled it up, taped the box back up and brought the same firearm back out. As you can see in the picture, 2 greens, and one red. Red being the tape they use when you leave the store. Garret you are a dishonest and untrustworthy person. It took me months to save up the 2K for this purchase which is why I cared about the blemish. Sure I’m going to beat the firearm up and it’s going to get more blemishes. It’s the principle though. Likely the last 2K I ever spend at Cabela’s.
