Academy Sports + Outdoors EVANS - Hours, Reviews & Deals

I went there looking for a particular pair of indoor/ outdoor slippers and seen availability online so it said. Unfortunately the item was not in the store. I didn't bother to ask anyone because the employees seemed to be talking amongst themselves and uninterested in their surroundings. I walked out the door with nothing and as I walked through the door leaving an employee says" Have a good day!" Yeah.. it's a good day because I didn't spend a dime and a waste of time!!

Normally, when I go in to this Academy in Evans, I usually only encounter 1 rude/bored employee. However, yesterday, EVERY single employee I encountered was RUDE as heck (PG rated). I first walked in and asked an Asst Manager (he had an earpiece) who was walking by, "Excuse me, but which counter do I go to pick up an online order?" He looked annoyed and said, "Go to that counter." I went to the In-store PICKUP Counter he pointed at and asked the lady there, "Excuse me, I would like to pick up my online order." She ANGRILY said, "Get in line like everybody else!" I looked over at the huge line and said, "But, I already paid for it." She said, "Doesn't matter, get in line." Mind you, if I hadn't already paid for my items, I would have immediately walked out of that store. I got in line and eventually made it to a cashier. I asked her, "Did I really have to stand in line to pick up my order I already paid for?" She ANNOYINGLY said, "Yes. What is the name and order number?" I gave my name and order number and she mumbled something into her walkie talkie, I did hear her say at the end, "I DON'T KNOW, some targets and black paint or something." Then a guy came up front, walked up to me and hurriedly say, "Can you take this from my arms!" I had immediately envisioned violence to his face, but held myself. I placed some of the items in his arms into my cart and he dropped the box of CLAY targets HARD (an hour later, I discovered on the clay targets broken on the bottom) into my cart. I'm not a "Karen" type of person, but this was uncalled for and felt I needed to vent my experience onto here. We'll see if this location even cares 🤷‍♂️
