Have sent many fire/smoke damaged guns to Chris. Always very pleased with the turn out. His attention to detail is excellent. He doesn't prefer to re-blue because of the metal issues, but his coating is next level. And his repair work is spot on. I tried to direct him the first few guns, and it worked out well, but to let him just use his creativity and talents, it was above and beyond expectations. When you allow yourself to get on the same page as him you'll see the craftsmanship and beauty of the item when he's done. Always fun to talk with, and knowledgeable.

I took 2 guns to him. 1 was a new muzzle loading rifle barrel for blueing and and an old .22 for re-blueing. He stated that he no longer had his blueing tanks but used a bake on technique. When I picked them up he told me that he just used cold blueing. I assume the same stuff that you can buy in any hunting dept. The pistol looked no different than when I dropped it off and the rifle has distortions just from leaving it in a foam case. I have other work to be done to other guns but I would not go back to him.
