Depending on the manufacturer. They do very limited work on guns. Your best bet may just find a gunsmith

Ask for Bill C.

Kristopher Hilton · Answer

Doubtful. Most of them know just a bit more than your average gun owner

Jeremy Fetzner · Answer

Calling ahead to be sure someone knowledgeable is on duty is a dang good suggestion from Mike. My last two purchases from the gun counter we VERY lenghty and I wished I would have called ahead. I started the stop watch when I pulled a ticket from their You're Next machine. Waited 45 minutes to be seen by a gun counter associate and I had one guy in front of me. On my two occasions, they were grossly understaffed. After the lengthy security questionnaire, their computers were acting up (on both separate visits) ad that added another 20min wait to the process. Total time from stepping into the store until walking out: 2 hours 10minutes
