I recently completed the 18-hour weekend pistol permit course at On-Target and had an excellent experience from start to finish. From the very first phone call with Corey, the owner, the process was smooth and professional. Corey was incredibly helpful when signing up for the course and made sure all of my questions were answered. The detailed email he sent the week of the class was extremely helpful and made it easy to know exactly what to expect and how to prepare. The instruction from Gar and the entire team was amazing. Gar is an outstanding instructor—very knowledgeable, thorough, and patient. He keeps the class engaging while making sure safety and responsibility are always the top priority. The entire weekend was organized, informative, and well run. I would highly recommend On-Target to anyone looking to complete their pistol permit course with a professional and supportive team.

I recently took my NYS Pistol Permit Class with On Target Firearms. From the very 1st interaction Corey responded quickly and was extremely professional and accomodating. Our instructor, Brian, has stellar firearms training credentials and is a fantastic instructor. Over the course of 2 very full days of gun safety, laws, etc. he made everything interesting and engaging. He and Gar instilled safety, knowledge and confidence into us day 2, which culminated in taking this training to the range for live-fire training. As a newbie I could not have felt more prepared, confident and safe due to their thorough training...and hit the bulls-eye with every shot. It was a great weekend and I couldn't recommend them more. If you're on the fence on where to get trained...don't hesitate to head to On Target!
