Cornbread Tactical is hands down the best gun shopping in Watauga County and the only true gun store in Boone. Yes, there are places locally that sell firearms, but this isn’t a pawn shop that happens to sell guns, a random hunting goods store with a few firearms, or Walmart—it’s a dedicated gun store with real expertise. Instead of wheeling and dealing or trying to squeeze every dollar out of you, you get straightforward answers, fair pricing, and people who actually know firearms. They carry unique guns you don’t see everywhere, along with parts, accessories, ammo, and targets. They also stock tourniquets, knives, shirts, sweatshirts, hats, and a solid selection of tactical gear. Charlie and Ray are extremely knowledgeable—no sales tactics, just facts. They handle the entire suppressor process in-house, including ATF paperwork and fingerprinting, and explain everything clearly for a very modest fee.
