Can i buy a gun or pistol before i get my ccw i live in colombus ohio

Yes, as long as you're a citizen of Ohio and can otherwise purchase a pistol, a CCW is not necessary.  Unless something has changed, a CCW in Ohio just means you can skip the 4473 paperwork.

One thing that I would like to say is that having a CCW doesn't speed up the process of purchasing of a weapon at least at Vance. They will do all the paperwork regardless.  If you pass the background check you can purchase almost any weapon.

Yes i have bought 2 guns and plan on getting more  ohio is a open carry state you can have your gun on you as long as it is on the outside and visible or you can buy one and just leave it at home until you get your ccw

All you need is to be of age, have a valid I.D., and ps a background check. I would highly advise searching Ohio attorney general.gov and learning the laws before purchasing. Learn how to legally carry and transport a firearm in ohio.

Yes they do. I am an employee at Vance Outdoors and also a FAB card holder myself. You are given LE pricing on Firearms and select accessories. LE  prices on firearms and firearm accessories can be found on Vance Outdoors website under the Law Enforcement tab. Clothing and other items aren’t available for LE discount unfortunately, unless it’s a company/bulk order arranged via our LE representatives which you may contact the Cleveland ave. Location.

Question 20

Does vance have a gun delay process like cabelas? Ive recently tried to get a hand gun from cabelas and I KNOW I have a totally clean background. Just bought a handgun else where with an instant process 2 months ago. So is vance the same way?

No. The process takes about 15min. You will stand in line longer. Vances also is the cheapest prices around. Alot cheapest then cabelas.
