rifle up to 5.56
shotgun has to be slugs or buckshot
no birdshot, green tips, or steel case ammunition.

I would recommend having their staff teach your son. You can coach him along but the initial training is best left to an experienced,  certified instructor.  Kids tend to follow their instructions better and retain that training.
