Walmart in Boiling Springs is clean, organized, and surprisingly well-run compared to some other locations. The staff is friendly and helpful, especially in grocery and electronics. Checkout is usually smooth, and the self-checkout lanes move quickly even during busy hours. Prices are consistent, the pickup area runs efficiently, and the store stays stocked on essentials. Parking is easy and the layout makes it simple to get in and out fast. A reliable stop for everything from hardware to groceries.

Walmart, in general, seems to have very poor customer service. I would honestly rather pay more money elsewhere if it means receiving better service. Many items are locked behind glass cases, and getting someone to unlock them is extremely difficult. I’ve tried on multiple days and ended up leaving each time to purchase the item somewhere else. I decided to try again only because this Walmart is close to my home and usually convenient. On this visit, another customer and I were waiting for assistance at a locked case. It took a very long time for anyone to come, despite asking multiple associates, pressing the help button in the aisle, and even having a page sent over the intercom. When the manager finally arrived, I let the other customer go first. The manager opened the case and allowed her to take her item herself and walk away with it. When it was my turn, the manager opened the case again, but when I reached for my item, she told me not to touch it and said she would retrieve it herself and have it sent to the front once I finished shopping. This was confusing and frustrating. I had just watched another customer retrieve a locked item and walk away freely, yet I was immediately treated as if I couldn’t be trusted. The manager said it was due to the item itself, but if that’s the case, then why was the other item locked up as well? The inconsistency in how customers are treated made the experience uncomfortable, discouraging, and honestly, I would rather drive further away to get better services somewhere else. As a side note, if items are kept locked behind glass cases, it would be helpful to ensure associates are “available” to assist customers and that all locked items are handled consistently for every customer!
