I'm a Texan that has lived in Colorado for the past two years. Bass Pro is the bomb for  boating and fishing but Scheels is AMAZING for all things mountain and things athletic. It has a special place in my heart when it comes to the kiddos.

Like the others have said... location, selection, and need.  I feel as if the smaller selection almost equals a lower price on somethings. I love the location. If we need things they don't sell, we'll drive to the other stores.  Otherwise, we shop here often.

I would say a lot of it depends on your location. Sheels is a great place to visit and see what you think as far as what they carry. But if they're not as close as a Bass pro or Cabela's then you might just think it's just another big store that's too far away.

Sorry for the delay in response to your question. In regards to items shipped or purchased in the store our return policy remains the same. We do ask the meat grinders are unused when you return them. Hopefully you are happy with your purchase, but if a return is necessary please return to your closest Scheels store or you can ship the item back. Yes, Scheels in The Colony does have an FFL and can receive guns in. There is a charge to transfer the firearm if it is the customer’s property or transferring from another dealer. Please contact the gun department at the store for more details. Thank you!
