Walmart Supercenter BERLIN - Hours, Reviews & Deals

This place is the worst, super shady. My two sons and I go here a couple times a week to try to get Pokemon cards. It is the only place in the area to get them reliably. With the Pokemon craze, it is very rare to find them. Recently, they put in a 5 item limit for trading cards, which we thought was an awesome move, as it stops people from going in and buying everything to resell but, it has made it even worse. First off, they treat me, even when I am with my kids, like we are breaking the law buying pokemon cards. When I found out about the limit, I went in and asked the rules, and a lady at self checkout explained them to me. The next time I went in, I followed her rules, and the same lady told me I was breaking the rules and taking advantage! Another time my 8 year old bought five packs with his own money and I bought 5 to split with my other son and they stopped us and treated us like we were committing a crime and literally told my 8 year old son he was lucky to get 1 pack. Another time, we accidentally grabbed six instead of five, and got a lecture even after we apologized. The worst thing is when they get special sets, they keep them in the back and won't give them to you. During the release of the most recent special ultra premium collection, they literally told me they had them in the back but wouldn't give me one for my 8 year old. Who the hell is getting them? Meanwhile, this store is getting a ton of inventory now. On three different occasions they've gotten several thousand dollars in stock and it disappears in less than two hours. Literally impossible with the limits. So at least one person working there, is helping someone break the rules. So they put in these rules to help actual collectors get cards instead of resellers then, they treat me and my sons like second class citizens, while still letting a reseller buy all the stock, probably because they have an employee as a friend. Absolutely terrible behavior and it bums me out as this is one of the only places we can go and get cards. Shame on you Walmart of letting this stuff happen in your stores.

We stopped here to pick up supplies for our stay in Vermont last week. Coming from Connecticut, where the Walmarts tend to be much larger, this location felt a bit smaller—but overall, I was pretty satisfied. The grocery selection was good for what we needed. We picked up a variety of vegetables, meat, and quick meal options, and everything was easy enough to find. Prices were reasonable, the store was clean, and things were fairly well organized (as organized as a Walmart can be). For what it is, it did the job well. Nothing over the top, but nothing to complain about either. A solid place to grab supplies while visiting.
