Worst retail store in all of Eastside. You’ll walk in, keep asking for help, and nobody will bother to show up. Then you’ll see that one disinterested staff member (who knows I’ve been in the store for the past 5 minutes) thinking, “Why did I come bother him?” while he’s doomscrolling, and he won’t even ask if I need help. They won’t give any advice on where to find products. After asking many times, they’ll point in random directions and send you on a wild-goose chase. This one staff member, after I pestered him to help me return something, stood in front of me and ate while he waited for his manager to come and guide him. Zero civic sense on how to interact. Staff needs to be sent to a correction facility and taught how to conduct themselves.

It was my first time in the shop, and as soon as I walked in, this guy started staring at me. Then he said, almost angrily, “No scooters here.” I just smiled and said, “Okay,” but he didn’t even acknowledge me. I went in and asked him for help, and he showed me what I needed—but he kept giving me this annoyed, judging look, like I had no idea what I was doing. When I accidentally pointed at the wrong item, he just stared at me again and repeated himself, still looking rude. Anyway, I had gone there to buy a fishing rod. I found one for $45—a steal, or so I thought. It looked amazing: big, sleek, with a shiny black-and-gold spinning reel that promised power and smoothness. I was so excited to try it out. But the moment I tested it, my excitement vanished. The line twisted, tangled, and snarled in every direction. The reel, which had looked so solid, felt awful. Nothing worked the way I expected. For something that had looked so perfect on the shelf, it was a total disappointment. At least the store had some really nice lures. That was probably the only thing I genuinely liked about the visit. Still, the whole experience—from the rude guy to the “perfect” rod that wasn’t—was frustrating and kind of ridiculous.
