I recently had the misfortune of dealing with Target Shotguns, which turned out to be the most frustrating purchasing experience of my life. On Friday, February 28th, I reached an agreement with the sales representative on the price for a 4-barrel set. However, I was later informed that only 3 barrels were available, necessitating a renegotiation of the price. I completed the payment on Monday, March 3rd, and the funds were promptly withdrawn from my account. After that, there was complete silence. A full week passed without any communication, prompting me to call on Monday, March 10th. Despite making four separate calls, I received conflicting answers about my order's status. Finally, I was told the order had been sent but was delayed by UPS. I requested the tracking number and was assured I would receive an email shortly. When no email arrived, I called again the following morning and asked for the tracking number to be read to me directly. It was then that I discovered the shipping label had only been created the previous night. Clearly, the sales representative had lied about the order being shipped, and they rushed to overnight the package after I followed up. When my FFL notified me to pick up my order, I discovered several issues: The aftermarket Negrini case provided was a substitute for the OEM Blaser case I expected. I purchased a Blaser and anticipated receiving its original accessories—not a replacement case chosen by them. The shipment was missing half of the 20-gauge choke tubes and all of the 28-gauge choke tubes. After yet another call, Target Shotguns agreed to send the missing choke tubes. When the chokes finally arrived a week later, I was dismayed to find the 20-gauge chokes were correct, but the 28-gauge set inexplicably included a 20-gauge choke. This entire process has been exhausting and stressful. I have no intention of attempting to remedy this latest mistake. Selling high-end products like Blaser demands at least a basic standard of customer service. The tracking number, complete items, OEM case, and tools should have been provided without me having to fight at every step. While Target Shotguns had no problem taking my money efficiently, retrieving my purchased items turned into a three-week ordeal. I will never order from Target Shotguns again, nor will I recommend them to friends.
