Provident Arms, while not the largest store, has wall to wall inventory to support your shooting needs. Recreational, Sport or tactical, this facility has it. Unlike large mall stores or the internet, staff here are helpful, kind and knowledgeable. If something goes wrong with your tool there is an onsite gunsmith. If something goes wrong with your purchase, the staff and store make it right. Literally, a customer could not ask for more. Oh... they have a very cool mini range for pistol calibers on site!

Nice people and nice gun shop, but their gunsmith and business practice I'm not sure about. I went in, not in a rush, explained I had an older Remington shotgun, explained the issue and ask if they had someone that could look at it and repair. Sure that won't be a problem, he's not here today but pretty sure he can look at it and probably determine the issue in five minutes. Ok, I'll leave it, no hurry, just call when it's ready. Yes sir, they took my gun, all my information and had me sign something saying they charge $50 per HALF HOUR. I thought, WOW, but they were nice, close by, I'm new to the area, and he can probably diagnose it in five minutes and it will be repaired correctly, its worth $50. Six days later the gunsmith gives me a call, says he looked at my gun and I owe them $50 right now, but he doesn't know what the issue is, It will cost $100 to $150 more, plus what ever parts it might need. I ask him to set it aside, I'll pick it up today. People this is a 20 gauge Remington 1100 shotgun. My wife said she could have looked at it for $50, told me she didn't know what was wrong with it and then told me it would take another $150 plus what ever parts to repair it. I'm sorry maybe it's just me, but if you can 't repair or diagnose the problem just tell me up front and I'll go on down the road. I've picked up my gun plus a lot of finger prints, smudging, I'm $54 lighter in the pocket and still don't know why it will not load correctly .
